That is about to change. I’m going to show you 4 easy tips to use EFT tapping for weight loss and let you know how to get my bonus tip. It’s a tip that most don’t do correctly when it comes to using EFT tapping for weight loss.
Let’s dive in.
Easy Tip #1
My first easy tip is to scrub the diet mentality COMPLETELY out of your mind. You can actually even tap on this because it may be easier said than done.
Getting rid of the diet mentality means…going forward…we are not going on a diet, finding a diet, researching new diets, trying a diet your friend had success with. Diets are OVER for you…starting today.
That should be an easy one because diets are no fun, feel terrible while you’re on it and feel even worse when we mess it up. So ditch the diets.
Easy Tip #2
The second easy tip is….remove the negative self-talk. We all do it. It’s a bad habit.
Our negative self-talk are the things we say to ourselves that we would never dream of saying to another human being.
We put ourselves down with comments like “you’re so fat and ugly,” “you’ll never lose the weight,” “your thighs are so gross”…whatever those go-to phrases are for you need to stop.
If it’s a struggle to stop this negative self-talk, you can tap on it.
You can tap on not being able to stop saying those phrases, tap on you can never love yourself, tap on you don’t want to give up negative self-talk because you don’t deserve it.
Tap through the points until you feel the release. You may need to do a few days in a row until it’s completely released.
It will just depend on your EFT expertise and how long you’ve resorted to negative self-talk for how long you’ll need to tap and clear that habit.
Easy Tip #3
The third way is to identify your favorite binge foods. Is it pizza, chocolate, cheetos, bread, ice cream? These are the foods you’ll make a special trip just to get.
There was a time for me that I couldn’t drive past a Taco Bell without stopping and getting nachos. I’ve been nacho-free for almost 9 years, something I never thought possible. But EFT tapping for weight loss allowed for that to happen.
Now, once you identify those foods you’ll tap on what you like about the food. If you're not familiar with how to do tapping for cravings, I have some other videos that take a deeper dive into exactly what to do.
Easy Tip #4
The fourth easy tip to use EFT for weight loss is to tap before a binge or a moment where you know you’re going to eat for reasons other than fuel.
Give yourself permission to still eat the food after that tapping.
But, taking ten minutes to tap on your feelings/emotions you have, which are probably the reasons for turning to the food, will release the negative emotions building up inside you.
Driving you to use food to cope.
This is important because after tapping for 10 minutes, you may decide not to binge or you may not binge as much had you not tapped.
Plus, it grows your tapping muscle as you make better decisions that will support your weight loss goals.
The more you tap, the better you’ll feel and you may discover you’re choosing healthier options, like going for a walk versus binging on food by yourself.
Now, for my BONUS tip. Emotional overeating is one of the hardest things to eliminate.
